Salmon and Crab Stick Wraps Recipe

I wrap pretty much everything I can, if only I have a chance. These salmon wraps are perfect as a party snack, lunch or brunch food or maybe you accidently cooked the whole salmon just for yourself and now you don’t know what to do with the leftovers… If that is the case, just make these salmon and crab stick wraps and invite your friends over, they will do the rest. It is simple and quick, but the best part is… they are delicious and take almost no time at all.

You will need:

  • Cooked salmon (It can be steamed, pan friend or oven roasted. It doesn’t really matter)
  • Crab sticks (I normally use 1:1 ratio to salmon, but you can add more or less)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Red Curry Paste
  • Lime
  • Fish sauce (optional)
  • Tortilla Wraps
  • Mixed Greens
  • Salt and Pepper

Curry Mayonnaise

First of all, let’s make curry mayonnaise. In the mixing bowl add mayonnaise, red curry paste (start with a little bit), a splash of lime juice and a good pinch of salt and pepper. You can add a couple of drops of fish sauce, but it is entirely optional. Mix everything up and season additionally according to taste.

Tip: make your curry mayonnaise a little bit too spicy, too salty and too acidic. The flavors will even out once it is mixed with salmon and crab sticks.

Salmon and Crab Stick Mix

Pull the salmon apart and remove all the bones that might be left inside. Cut crab sticks into small dice and mix it with salmon. Add a couple of spoons of curry mayonnaise and mix well. Taste you mix and check if it needs additional seasoning. Add curry mayonnaise, salt or pepper if needed. Remember, the mix still needs to be a little too spicy and a little too salty, because mixed greens will not be seasoned and everything is going inside the wrap, so the flavors will even out eventually.

Let’s wrap it up

Once we have our salmon and crab stick mix ready, we can now start wrapping. Take a tortilla wrap, put a generous amount of salmon mix to the one side of it, then add approximately the same amount of mixed greens in the middle and lightly cover the empty end with curry mayonnaise. Curry mayonnaise will help the tortilla to stick, so it holds its shape and doesn’t roll out.Once everything is in place, roll it up and cut it in half.

Your friends will thank you!
